band-aids

Brecken got a cut today that was bleeding.  Yes, it was the most painful thing ever to him.  But today, he ASKED for a band-aid.  Yes, you read that right.  I almost fell over.  He said he figured out while at the doctor this past week that band-aids weren't that bad after all.

Another HUGE sensory obstacle, overcome!

The bad news was, since he wouldn't wear band-aids before, we had none in the house.  So we made a trip down to the dollar store and he picked some out.  And he wore not one, but two today.

I kind of feel like a "normal" (I hate that word, but you know what I mean) mother, with a kid who is instantly healed of all ailments with a band-aid.

OK, maybe not ALL ailments, but heck - a cut on a finger, a band-aid to make it better, our world is now different!

Wow! Isn't that amazing that a "negative" experience like the doctor's office/shots can turn into a positive like that! Very cool!
